the water is my body, my father, my culture, my Rasa
Moving Rasa is a culturally specific framework that empowers collective change. Through various adaptable programs, our team support people of the Global Majority (BIPOC) across gender/sexuality, age, and ability. Moving Rasa facilitators create safe and healing spaces to process sexual assault, violence, oppression, marginalization and more. We do this by inspiring personal and cultural connection and growth (Rasa Labs), facilitating transformative group work (GRrr Groups), and fostering opportunities for individuals and groups to address trauma, stigma, and taboos in ourselves, our history, and communal places (Deep Dives & Creative Conflict).
“I love this, I can show up with you all as my full self!”

“I thought I would never be able to touch a man again.”

Moving Rasa is a proud recipient of the American Rescue Plan for Culturally Specific support of Survivor of Sexual Assault. The grant cycle runs from April 2023 to the end of March 2025. Below is a video we shared at a convening with the other grantees this August showcasing the direction and impact of our work.
